-those weird boots are "Mesa Mechanojets" basically rocket boots
they're actually quite heavy and he leaves them in the woods bc of that

- The thing on his chest is a suppressing device, all lightning elementals need one to help control their powers. They get it when their powers show up during puberty, it's pretty much for everyone's safety, as even with the device, emotional moments trigger bursts of electricity. (Which can be deadly)
